Fanny Carby

Actrița britanică Fanny Carby s-a născut la 2 februarie 1925, in Sutton, Surrey, Anglia.
A debutat in 1952, cu mici roluri in seriale Tv ca Operation Diplomat sau The Pickwick Papers, in 1953 debuta pe marele ecran cu filmul Meet Mr. Lucifer.
Fanny Carby a continuat să apară pe micul ecran in filmul Othelo (1955), regizat de Tony Richardson, apoi in Tears for Simon (1956), Blonde Bait (1956), Lost (1956), Women Without Men (1956), Some People (1962), Sparrows Can't Sing (1963), What a Crazy World (1963), The Family Way (1966), The Idol (1966), The White Bus (1967), A Day in the Death of Joe Egg (1972), The Elephant Man (1980), Loophole (1981), Biggles (1986), Bert Rigby, You're a Fool (1989), până la Mrs Dalloway, in 1997.
In 1963 cânta in spectacolul muzical Oh, What a Lovely War! melodia Hitchy-Koo, in deschiderea stagiunii Teatrului Regal din Stratford. A facut parte dintre fondatorii Theatre Workshop Group condus de Joan Littlewood.
