Warren Oates a fost un actor american, care a trăit din 05.07.1928 până în 03.04.1982. A decedat la doar 53 de ani, ca urmare a unui atac de cord. A fost un actor cunoscut în anii 1970. A fost unul dintre actorii preferați de regizorul Sam Peckinpah, care l-a distribuit în filmele sale: "The Wild Bunch", din 1969, "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia", din 1974. Alte filme semnificative pentru cariera sa au fost: "Two -Lane Blacktop", "The Hired Hand", "Dillinger".
