Un sofer de ambulanta e chemat sa o transporte la spital pe d-na Tremayne, victima unei intoxicatii dupa cat se pare accidentale cu gaz. Angajat ca sofer de catre capul familiei, tanarul e cucerit de farmecul fiicei vitrege a d-nei Tremayne, Diane, al carei chip angelic ascunde o minte diabolica.
