- Springwood, oraselul blestemat, bantuit de monstrul viselor, Freddy Krueger, a ramas fara copii. Singurul supravietuitor, John Doe, se afla sub controlul lui Freddy. Acesta face in asa fel incat John sa ajunga sa ia legatura cu Lisa, fiica lui Freddy. Aceasta trebuie adusa, cu orice pret, in Springwood. Planul lui Freddy este ca sa intre in mintea fatei sale care, plecand din Springwood, sa-l duca pe un nou teren de vanatoare. Doc, medic psihiatru si coleg al Lisei, cunoaste legenda antica a celor trei demoni ai viselor care isi aleg un om extrem de rau pentru a-i da puterea de a aduce…
