- James and the Giant Peach este povestea fantastică a unui băiețel englez, James, rămas orfan la numai 9 ani, care este nevoit să locuiască cu răuvoitoarele și lacomele sale mătuși Spiker și Sponge. Lipsit de dragoste și dorind să scape de greutățile pe care i le fac mătușile, James visează să ajungă la New York, un oraș în care toate dorințele se tranformă în realitate, după cum i-a povestit tatăl său.Pentru James, călătoria spre New York începe odată ce întâlnește un bătrân care îi dă câteva obiecte fermecate. Cu ajutorul lor, băiatul crește în curte…
