- Primul film artistic din cele 3 ale celor de la Monty Python stabileste reteta ce va fi urmarita si de productiile lor ulterioare: fiecare din cei 6 membri are roluri multiple, alaturi de ei existand doar figuranti, apoi gaguri din cele mai originale, cantece pe versuri haioase, animatia incredibila a lui Terry Gilliam si multa, multa aiureala. Filmul e in fapt o parodie dupa legendele cavaleresti britanice, intre care un loc de frunte il ocupa misiunea pentru Sfantul Graal a regelui Arthur. Acesta si cavalerii mesei rotunde, iesiti parca proaspat dintr-un ospiciu, pornesc intr-o calatorie…
