- De cele mai multe ori, ce se intampla in culise, desi nu are nici o legatura cu piesa, este mult mai important decat ce se petrece pe scena. Pelicula este inspirata de piesa lui Michael Frayn “West End and Broadway”, insa scenariul lui Peter Bogdanoch muta intreaga actiune din suburbiile Londrei in Des Moines, Iowa. Lloyd Fellowes (Michael Caine) este regizorul care are sarcina deloc usoara de a monta pe scenele din America cu o trupa ambulanta rasunatorul succes britanic "Nothing On", o parodie cu tema sexuala. Misiunea ii este ingreunata de faptul ca actorii sunt oameni si au si ei…
