- Jerry Lewis evolueaza ca regizor, scenarist si actor in aceast film amuzant, care a impus noi standarde pentru comedie ca gen cinematografic. Lewis este doctorul Jullius Kelp, un profesor de chimie parlit si miop, care este cu desarvarsire ignorat de femei si ridiculizat de colegi si studenti. Toate acestea se vor schimba in ziua in care descopera o potiune magica, cu ajutorul careia devine un Romeo sofisticat si seducator, un cuceritor sigur pe sine, increzator, un excelent dansator, un adevarat amant, Buddy Love. Dar fenomenul Jekyll si Hyde nu întârzie sa se instaleze si sa cauzeze…
