Manateq Qatar Cross-Country Rally signaled the opening round of the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies at the stunning, awe-inspiring state of Qatar. Organised by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), the event has attracted 33 teams and competitors from 17 nations. Five days of intense competition and 1,444. 99 kilometres in the challenging Qatar desert, will test cars and drivers to their limits. Although the event has attracted many teams and competitors, the 3-time Dakar winner Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah stands out prominently. Al-Attiyah has proven to be a force to be reckoned within the cross-country rally scene. Only just missing the mark in the last Dakar Rally, the born and bred Qatari will be keen to compete and impress on home soil.
