While the nails were starting to be driven into the hippie generation's coffin, an L.A. band would cast an influence and signal a new movement of musical artistry that would prove to be a hard act to follow. In the late-60's, the Doors would help lead a new musical revolution that would throw a middle finger in the face of society and distance itself from all the turmoil that shaped the political climate by literally creating mass hysteria on their own. However, the pop music that will be remembered for generations to come grew out of a very different sound. Abba entered the Eurovision heats. They succeeded and performed the song Waterloo in the 1974 contest. The band entered superstar status with the 1976 release of their first greatest hits. The token new song on the record was Fernando. It remains Abba’s biggest-selling single to date, with sales of 10 million copies. The late 1970s was a period of unstoppable success for Abba. The 1976 album Arrival, showcased the finely-honed skill of pop song-writing and its lead single, Dancing Queen, was a prime example of that. In a career of four turbulent decades of excesses and highs, Aerosmith became the biggest selling American rock band of all time. The ‘Bad Boys’ came together in 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts. Aerosmith’s third release, ‘Toys in the Attic’ made them international stars. Lead single,’Sweet Emotion’ became their first top 40 hit. In 1987 Aerosmith released their biggest selling album in over a decade, ‘Permanent Vacation’. The ‘Nine Lives’ tour was troubled, but in 1998 Aerosmith’s fortunes would change once again. Released as part of the soundtrack to the film, ‘Armageddon’, ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ would become the biggest single of their career. In 2012 Aerosmith released the single, ‘Legendary Child’. It had been eight years since they had produced new material but along with the track came the album, ‘Music from another Dimension’. This installment of the Classic Albums series follows the making of two Grateful Dead albums, the fiercely experimental Anthem of the Sun and the understated masterwork American Beauty, which spawned melodic gems like "Sugar Magnolia" and "Ripple." The best scenes involve band members talking about specific songs (you will never hear Phil Lesh's "Box of Rain" again without thinking of it as a gift to his dying father) or deconstructing a tune by playing each track separately. Intimate and surprisingly cohesive, Anthem to Beauty is a rare glimpse into how the Dead's magic was made.

The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds, England. The events both happen on the bank holiday weekend in August (on Friday, Saturday, Sunday), and share the same bill (occasionally with one or two exceptions). The festival's origins date to the Beaulieu Jazz Festival (1956–1961) which became the National Jazz Festival in 1961 (The National Jazz and Blues Festival in 1963) and settled in Reading in 1971. In 1999 a second leg was added at Leeds. Featuring : Bastille.

Around The World follows The Police on their first world tour in 1979 and 1980, as they visit 6 continents building their fanbase show-by-show, country-by-country, song-by-song. In between the performances, the film offers a jovial glimpse of the band as they travel around the world and their visits to local sights. Around The World is presented with restored picture and remastered audio, and includes complete performances of 4 songs featured in the documentary.

During the first leg of Paul Simon's triumphant, 2011 U.S. tour, he thrilled hometown fans with a special club performance at New York City's historic Webster Hall. The show presents this iconic artist working at the peak of his artistic and creative powers in an unusually intimate setting.
