Jake Bugg - Live at Hype Machine's Hype Hotel
Jake BuggNineteen-year-old British singer-songwriter Jake Bugg is a man of few words, that is until he begins his strumming. His unique voice is one that finds few, yet highly admirable comparisons - perhaps a rockabilly-folk twangy twist of The Mountain Goats' John Darnielle and Colin Meloy of the Decemberists. The release of his self-titled, full-length debut last October sent a sonic shockwave through the music world with songs like the feverishly hooking foot-pounder "Lightning Bolt" and the howling 60s rock sing-along "Two Fingers". Jake took the stage late one evening at Hype Machine's Hype Hotel, where he roared through his catalog of catchy hits for an rock-hungry crowd. And we were there to catch the solid solo kid in action. -

ABBA - Rock Legends
ABBAAbba are one of Sweden’s biggest exports and the world’s biggest pop act. With sales estimated at 400 million, as a group they are second only the Beatles. However, the pop music that will be remembered for generations to come grew out of a very different sound. Abba entered the Eurovision heats. They succeeded and performed the song Waterloo in the 1974 contest. The band entered superstar status with the 1976 release of their first greatest hits. The token new song on the record was Fernando. It remains Abba’s biggest-selling single to date, with sales of 10 million copies. The late 1970s was a period of unstoppable success for Abba. The 1976 album Arrival, showcased the finely-honed skill of pop song-writing and its lead single, Dancing Queen, was a prime example of that. Featuring archive material, music videos “DANCING QUEEN” “MAMA MIA ABBA” and, exclusive insights from music critics and journalists JOHN AIZLEWOOD (Evening Standard), DANIELLE PERRY (XFM), WILL HODGKINSON (The Times) & CAMILLA PIA (BBC Radio 6) -

The Doors - Live in Europe
The DoorsWhile the nails were starting to be driven into the hippie generation's coffin, an L.A. band would cast an influence and signal a new movement of musical artistry that would prove to be a hard act to follow. In the late-60's, the Doors would help lead a new musical revolution that would throw a middle finger in the face of society and distance itself from all the turmoil that shaped the political climate by literally creating mass hysteria on their own. This concert, filmed in 1968 during the Band's tour across Europe, include live performances of 'Spanish Caravan', 'Five to One', and two versions of 'Light My Fire'. -

Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti: Album Under Review
Led ZeppelinThis is a documentary film about the build-up, making, release, and - crucially - music contained on this most revered of albums. With the aid of rare and classic performances, scarce interviews, seldom seen photographs and contributions from those involved in the making of the record - plus the review and critique from a panel of Zeppelin experts - this program finally lifts the lid on what many believe to be Led Zep's very finest offering. With contributions from; the album's engineer, Ron Nevison; former Yardbird, Chris Dreja; Swansong recording artist, Maggie Bell; author of The Rough Guide to Led Zeppelin, Nigel Williamson; Tight But Loose editor, Dave Lewis; Classic Rock Magazine's Malcolm Dome; renowned guitar tutor and author, Rikky Rooksby and Robert Plant biographer, Neil Daniels. Black Sabbath - Rock Legends
Black SabbathBirmingham in the late 1960s was an industrial city, packed with music groups. At its height, the New Musical Express had reported 500 on its bustling circuit and from two of these groups, Black Sabbath was formed. The Beatles would be a key influence for Ozzy, but bassist Geezer Butler also shaped Ozzy’s work, through his lyrics After signing to Vertigo Records in 1970, the four piece used their distinctive sound to full effect for their self-titled debut album, Black Sabbath. Black Sabbath became a commercial success, entering the UK top 10 and the US charts. In it’s first year it sold one million copies. Keen to build on the success, the band entered the studio just four months after releasing their debut. The title track, Paranoid, would lead the new album. Featuring archive material, music videos “PARANOID” “EVIL WOMAN” and, exclusive insights from music critics and journalists JOHN AIZLEWOOD (Evening Standard), DANIELLE PERRY (XFM), WILL HODGKINSON (The Times) & CAMILLA PIA (BBC Radio 6) -

Foals - A Session With Foals
FoalsBeing from the rain-ridden lands of England, Foals are used to a different kind of festival environment: generally speaking, frontman Yannis Philippakis described them as "mud and wellies" ordeals. So we're sure they were quite pleased to travel halfway around the world to the California desert to perform for Coachella's music-hungry crowds. Prior to taking to the stage in Indio, however, Foals made a pit stop at our little poolside bungalow to perform a Festival Fever Session featuring songs off their highly-acclaimed, recent full-length Holy Fire. While you might have already seen the band's in-the-flesh transformation of "My Number" into a slow-burning beaut, we've expanded the session to include the subtle closer "Moon". -
