An artist with intellectual skills is John Legend, who studied English with a major in African American literature at the University of Pennsylvania. He has performed on albums of singers like Alicia Key, Jay-Z and also made the album Wake Up! (2010) along with the American rap group, The Roots. His official discography includes Get Lifted (2004), Once Again (2006), Evolver (2008) and Love in the Future (2013). This presentation in London, 2014, at the Itunes Festival, manages to clean the career of this singer who besides being multitalented can be a human rights activist.

Keith Moon was an English drummer for the Rock music band The Who. Noted for his unique style, alcohol addiction and his eccentric, often self-destructive behaviour Moon developed a reputation for smashing his kit on stage and destroying hotel rooms on tour. His drumming continues to be praised by critics and musicians to this day. Moon was voted the second-greatest drummer in history by Rolling Stone. By 1976, and particularly during production of The Kids Are Alright (film) and Who Are You (song), Moon’s deterioration grew. Moving back to London in 1978, he died on 7th of September aged 32, from an overdose of Clomethiazole, a drug intended to treat or prevent symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.

New Order are one of the most influential and critically acclaimed bands of their generation. They combined dance and punk to become an international success story selling millions worldwide. The band rose from the tragic ending of post-punk pioneers, Joy Division. Through Factory Records, the independent Manchester label that oversaw the Joy Division releases, New Order showcased their debut album, ‘Movement’ in 1981. The band continued to experiment with their sound on the album, ‘Power, Corruption & Lies’. As with their previous singles, the song, ‘Blue Monday’ was not included on the album and would go on to become the biggest selling 12 inch single of all time. In 2013 New Order released a collection of outtakes from sessions including tracks written with Hook entitled, ‘Lost Sirens’.
