In 2011 they were invited to participate in the iTunes Festival in London. On July 11, before a fully packed Round House theater, the band gave their fans a concert of over two hours of their best music.

An artist with intellectual skills is John Legend, who studied English with a major in African American literature at the University of Pennsylvania. This concert from the Scorpions home city of Hanover was the climax of EXPO2000. The legendary German rock band, with worldwide album sales in excess of 75 million, perform live on stage with the perhaps even more legendary Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Christian Kolonovits. The concert was a recreation of their "Moment Of Glory" album, also recorded with the BPO, which took their classic tracks and gave them a full orchestral backing.

Ozzy Osbourne is one of the most iconic figures in rock and one of the founding fathers of heavy metal. July 12, 2004 was a very special night at the Montreux Festival for any blues fan. With Carlos Santana as musical director (and special guest guitarist), three musical legends took to the stage. Her debut album, Frank (was a critical success in the UK and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her follow-up album, Back to Black (2006), led to five 50th Annual Grammy Awards, and a record of most Grammys won by a female artist in one night. In short, a music legend who died at the young age of 27, from alcohol intoxication on 23 July 2011. Her album Back to Black posthumously became one the UK's best-selling albums of the 21st century.

Janis Joplin was one of the most successful and widely-known female rock stars of her era. After releasing three albums, she died of a heroin overdose at the age of 27. Her fourth album, Pearl, was released in January 1971, just over three months after her death. It reached number one on the Billboard charts. Her Legacy. The big-voiced, bluesy singer dominated the stage, forged her own path and paved the way for the female singers who followed.

Jethro Tull is one of the most successful British acts of all time with a career reaching from the late sixties to the present day. In 2003 they made their first (and so far only) visit to the Montreux Festival. Split into a semi-acoustic first half and a full on electric second half, the concert was a triumph combining newer songs such as “Dot Com”, “Pavane” and “Budapest” with classic favorites. As ever Ian Anderson leads from the front with his instantly recognizable voice and inimitable style of one-legged flute playing. Keith Moon was an English drummer for the Rock music band The Who. Noted for his unique style, alcohol addiction and his eccentric, often self-destructive behaviour Moon developed a reputation for smashing his kit on stage and destroying hotel rooms on tour. His drumming continues to be praised by critics and musicians to this day. Moon was voted the second-greatest drummer in history by Rolling Stone. By 1976, and particularly during production of The Kids Are Alright (film) and Who Are You (song), Moon’s deterioration grew. Moving back to London in 1978, he died on 7th of September aged 32, from an overdose of Clomethiazole, a drug intended to treat or prevent symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.
