Around The World follows The Police on their first world tour in 1979 and 1980, as they visit 6 continents building their fanbase show-by-show, country-by-country, song-by-song. In between the performances, the film offers a jovial glimpse of the band as they travel around the world and their visits to local sights. Around The World is presented with restored picture and remastered audio, and includes complete performances of 4 songs featured in the documentary.

Blur was formed in the late 1980s when all four members were attending London’s Goldsmith’s College. However lead signer Damon Albarn and guitarist Graham Coxon had actually known each other since childhood, growing up together in Colchester. With bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree, the band began playing under the name of Seymour, after a character created by J D Salinger, but they soon changed that to Blur to secure a deal with Food Records. After their debut She’s So High failed to trouble the top of the charts, Blur teamed up with producer Stephen Street. They had immediate success with the single There’s No Other Way. Upon its release, Blur’s debut album, Leisure, failed to make the impact Food Records had hoped for but the band had a musical turning point with the release of the single Popscene. It had a distinctly English sound and is often credited as being the very first Britpop song. Blur decided to take on a quintessentially English style and image for their second album, Modern Life is Rubbish. By hanging on to their newfound English heritage, commercial fortunes would change for Blur in 1994 with the release of the single Girls and Boys. The success of Girls and Boys propelled the band’s third album, Parklife, to enter the charts at number one.

This concert from the Scorpions home city of Hanover was the climax of EXPO2000. The legendary German rock band, with worldwide album sales in excess of 75 million, perform live on stage with the perhaps even more legendary Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Christian Kolonovits. The concert was a recreation of their "Moment Of Glory" album, also recorded with the BPO, which took their classic tracks and gave them a full orchestral backing.

An artist with intellectual skills is John Legend, who studied English with a major in African American literature at the University of Pennsylvania. This presentation in London, 2014, at the Itunes Festival, manages to clean the career of this singer who besides being multitalented can be a human rights activist.

ITunes Festival, is an annual music festival that takes place over a month in London. Sponsored by Apple Inc., it had its first edition in 2007.

This installment of the Classic Albums series follows the making of two Grateful Dead albums, the fiercely experimental Anthem of the Sun and the understated masterwork American Beauty, which spawned melodic gems like "Sugar Magnolia" and "Ripple." Between the archival scenes and contemporary interviews with band members, the program shows a band making seismic in roads in pop music and five young guys coming to terms with artistry, mortality, and, yes, the pursuit of happiness. There is priceless footage of Neal Cassady driving Ken Kesey's bus and of the Dead, surrounded by martini sipping hipsters, on Playboy After Dark.
