February 2017 saw me embark upon a travel expedition through Scotland, Poland, France, Mexico, Belize and, (alas! ), back. Not only was it the first time I ventured out to Central America, but also the first time I seriously pushed my bravery boundaries to do a whole lot of things I'd never tried before. I defeated my life-long fear of scubadiving and skydiving, (the Carribbean vistas do help! - No danger I'd do that again in Aberdeen), I went zip-lining over a Mexican jungle, I tried habanero-packed streetfood, (failed at that miserably), and organic tequila, (managed that better;), I climbed a Maya pyramid in the middle of a Belizean rainforest and fed hibiscus flowers to a very extravagant donkey. Most importantly, however, I got to know some incredible people - from shamans, wanderers and artists to refugees, businesswomen and expat cowboys. And thanks to aaaall of that, I also got to know a little bit more about myself for visiting the most remote corners of our planet reminds you how different and yet how similar we all are. I'm looking forward to sharing my incredible experience in 5 exciting episodes of our travel series, which really turned out to be a Dream Journey:) I simply cannot wait for more!

African Penguins have been sliding towards extinction since industrial fishing started around the Cape. The last four years have seen a population crash. As the climate changes and fisheries transform the oceans, the world's African Penguins are in trouble. Young Penguins aren't able to take all the changes into account and are finding themselves 'trapped' in parts of the sea that can no longer support them even as better options are available. o poaching is currently at a crisis point. By the end of 2015, the number of African Rhinos killed by poachers had increased for the sixth year in a row with at least 1,338 Rhinos killed by poachers across Africa in 2015. These statistics are compiled by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Species Survival Commission’s African Rhino Specialist Group (AfRSG).

Part two of the road trip begins in the tranquil township of Abingdon where Fletch visits the grave of a distant relative and embarks on an emotional journey through his family tree with the help of genealogist Charlotte Williams. Onwards to London where Fletch photographs this iconic city from every possible angle, the air, the sea, the streets and even underground during a visit to the decommissioned British Mail Rail. The episode concludes with a visit to a wildlife park just outside of the city where Fletch has the rare opportunity to come face to face with new-born baby Jaguar.

The India exploration continues, picking the trails from Kolkata - Jonathan visits the oldest polo club in the world and learns the inner workings of Royal Calcutta Turf Club. Winning bets, he follows on the horse theme where he heads up to the eastern fringes of India, to the state of Manipur, the actual birthplace of the modern game of Polo. He rendezvous with the women’s polo club in Imphal, and learns the basics of the game, and finds out that there is infact a horse God that the players worship! Manipur offers many hidden tales; Jonathan picks up nuggets from the Japanese incursion in the area, learns about a fringe religion called Sanamahism, and dives into the regional martial arts!

The Recruits meet for the first time as Cape Town International Airport, they have flown in from all over the world. The Global Barber stops in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to work with the team at the World's Oldest Barbershop franchise (Guinness Records) Truefitt & Hill Est. 1805. Truefitt & Hill hold the Royal Warrant authorizing a company to display the royal arms, indicating that goods or services are supplied to the sovereign or to a member of the Royal Family. Also featured in this episode is Toronto Island BBQ & Beer Co. where all meats are smoked low & slow up to 14 hours!

The Global Barber visits Kingston, Ontario, Canada with "Hair Of The Dog" Barber & Pub Co-Owner Luke Chambers, for a couple days. Episode features the team all working together before heading to Union Kitchen & Cocktails for dinner and drinks. On the night of June 5th, 1944, a C-47 paratrooper aircraft, nicknamed That's All, Brother took off from England, to drop Allied fighting men into Normandy, to clear a passage for the tens of thousands of troops lying off the coast.

Zenica prison – is the biggest and toughest prison in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The eighteen eighty-six fortress still stands to this day. The prison has survived all kinds of internal and external threats: rebellions, escape attempts, both world wars and the Bosnian war in the 1990s. Zenica has room for almost a thousand inmates.
