21:30 Enrico Caruso – The Eternal VoiceClassical Music DocumentaryEnrico Caruso – The Eternal Voice Enrico Caruso's life was as melodramatic as the plots of many of the operas he sang. His phenomenal tenor voice made him famous worldwide and he became the first superstar. The background to a hitherto little-known assassination attempt in Cuba sheds new light on the legendary voice of the century, which is now part of humanity's cultural heritage. Enrico Caruso is a phenomenon, produced by Italian opera at the end of the 19th century. And to this day it remains its greatest mystery. How was a child from a poor background able to celebrate such great successes at the Metropolitan Opera in New York? What is the basis of his myth? Directed by Norbert Buse

10:11 Accident: A family portraitDanceAccident: A family portrait Vilde Frang violin | Francesca Amante, Nataša Novotná, Maja Dworak Strømgren, Line Tørmoen, Viktor Konvalinka, Václav Kuneš, Jo Strømgren, Rostislav Novák Sen. (dead man) Eugène-Auguste Ysaÿe: 6 Sonatas for solo violin In ‘Accident’, death comes unexpectedly and abruptly to a family that has recently been challenged by the pater familia's marriage to a younger woman. When he dies suddenly, perhaps in a car accident, it becomes extremely important for her to push forward a delayed plan for a family portrait. How to take a family photo where one of the members is no longer alive, and the rest of the family, apart from the young wife, struggle to hide their opposition to the whole project? It is a grotesque task for the photographer, who routinely does everything possible to create a good atmosphere in the studio for his clients. Directed by Jo Strømgren and Stein-Roger Bull 2021

17:29 Closed - A Ballet from Real LifeDanceClosed - A Ballet from Real Life Many people live in a closed world. What happens to them when they step onto an arena where they can be themselves, free of their usual roles and status? In the film ‘Closed’ we encounter four completely different people who once a week leave their everyday lives and get together in a closed café, where they get the opportunity and help to relax and momentarily distance themselves from reality. These encounters have a certain touch of ritual to them. Then, an alien element is introduced: A famous musician, the cellist Truls Mørk, has been given the proprietor’s permission to rehearse a piece that he will later play in town. The music, Zoltan Kodály’s Sonata for solo cello Op. 8, is intense and riveting and affects all four of them to an extent that has consequences for them all. The whole thing ends in mayhem, which perhaps was necessary for them all to be able to move on with their lives. Even the café gets a new lease of life, with a new proprietor.
